Shruti UP Shristee Frnd Ngo: House of specials welfare society is a non profit organisation which was formed with the multi-pronged agenda. We want to provide best possible counselling and assistance 2 people with special needs and their families, to build awareness about special needs and eliminate myths prevalent in the society.
With our deep analysis of the situation it was clear to us that the ‘way forward is by going backwards’ i.e. we need to work on the grass root level, build confidence of people, remove the exclusionist feeling from their lives and ensure the affected people are also a part of the mainstream society. From the onset it was not an easy task. Our biggest hurdle was explaining to people that there is a situation which requires acceptance, intense hard work and treating it as a non issue is not an option.
Shruti UP Shristee Frnd Ngo: Achieving this required marathon sessions with parents giving them clarity and building and overall positive feeling so that the social trauma attached with Autism could be significantly minimised if not completely eradicated.
Sins conceptualization of h o s in 2019 are back to basics approach has yielded lot of positive feedback more and more parents are opening up to new ideas and acknowledging that sometimes they need help to help the child.
Our struggle is an ongoing process. Each day is a new battle, a new front to conquer and a difficult road to move on, but our zeal to make a difference remains undiminished.
